CHURCH AT CANE CREEK CLEAN UP

In the first two days of May 2010, more than 13 inches of rain fell on middle Tennessee. Some areas reported more than 19 inches of rainfall. The Cumberland River reached nearly 12 feet above flood stage and crested at just under 52 feet before the waters finally began to recede. Hundreds of people were rescued from their homes by boat and canoe. Thousands of residents were displaced from their homes. Just over 30 lives were lost as a result.

In the midst of the loss, the Church at Cane Creek joined together to worship and give thanks for all that remained. Then, they all rolled up their sleeves and started putting things in order.
