YOUNG WIVES CLUB

The latest issue of NGJ Magazine (July-August 2010) includes the testimony of one young wife that organized a group of friends to work through Debi Pearl's book Created To Be His Help Meet. Each week, they would read a portion of the book and then meet to discuss how the lessons were applied. All information shared was kept confidential, so they were free to share honestly about struggles and offer encouragement. Here are some of their guidelines:

* Meetings began with prayer.


* Everyone would share a 'good wife story' about how they had tried to be a good help meet that week.


* No husband bashing -- Husbands were discussed with respect.
